No injuries were reported after scaffolding collapsed at a condo building in north Etobicoke on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Stevenson Road, near Kipling and Finch avenues, shortly after 10 a.m.

Images from the scene show scaffolding debris in front of the building. Fire officials said the scaffolding was not secured, causing some of it to come toppling down due to the wind.

District Fire Chief Mike Lester told CityNews crews were able to secure the rest of the scaffolding and safely lower it to the ground.

“There was reportedly no one on the road, which we are very fortunate (for) because this is a very busy area” Lester said.

It is unclear how long the cleanup will take.

The Ministry of Labour has been notified.
